Petition to The Assembly and Chairperson of the African Union, The AU Representational Mission to the USA
Stop the Israeli Government
From Gaining the African Union Observer Status
A Coalition of Voices of the African Diasporaand African Supporters around the world. “We are not Africans because we’re born in Africa, but because Africa is born in us.”– Kwame NkrumahTo: The Assembly and Chairperson of the African Union: “There are 50 countries in Africa [sic]. Just about all of them, could be allies of Israel. They vote at international forums, and I know people don’t believe this, but I think we can change the automatic majorities in the U.N. and so on if you begin to shift this.” – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. We, the undersigned, demand that African leaders reject the Israeli government’s bid for the observer status seat at the “32nd Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union” or during any time or session afterward, unless certain important criteria are met by the Israeli government, whether it's the current administration or another. In the African spirit of peace and reconciliation, as pursued by Nelson Mandela and the people of South Africa, as pursued by President Pasteur Bizimungu, Vice President Paul Kegame and the people of Rwanda, as pursued by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and the people of Ethiopia and Eritrea, and as pursued by several communities across the African continent, we believe that the African Union must deny Mr. Netanyahu’s bid for the observer status seat. • REASONS FOR THIS PETITION The degree of insincerity with which the Israeli government interacts with many countries in the world, its disrespect and disregard of international laws, its suppression of Palestinian universal human rights, constitute a situation whereby the progress of the world is held hostage. As Africa has been exploited for her human and natural resources for hundreds of years, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu now intends to exploit Africa for her moral resources. In the past few years, the prime minister has committed himself and the resources of his state to a project whose goal is to misdirect the responsibilities of the African continent for his personal cause. When the United Nations and its member states determined that Israel is in violation of international human rights and territorial laws, and that Israel is guilty of appropriating Palestinian land for illegal Jewish settlements, Mr. Netanyahu frantically seeks to influence the member states to change their votes in his favor. Mr. Netanyahu realizes that the African continent is a bloc with the largest number of countries, and subsequently he has been determined to influence African leaders in order to sway their votes at the United Nations and other international institutions. “The pyramid of our foreign policy interests in Africa is as high as it has ever been,” Mr. Netanyahu said to his ambassadors serving in African countries, “[and] the first interest is to dramatically change the situation regarding African votes at the U.N. and other international bodies from opposition to support.” (Missing image found here... Click) Not only does Mr. Netanyahu come off as too patronizing and disingenuous, the friendship and aid he promises in return for the observer status he seeks come at a period when Africans have grown to see through the Western aid project. Yet, whatever Mr. Netanyahu promises to give in return to our leaders doesn’t change the nature of, and the motivations beneath, the transactions; it’s bribery, like taking cutbacks from state projects nocturnally passed on to sleazy contractors, like buying out the jury selected to judge your case in a court of law; it’s moral depravity, like parents prostituting their children for goodies. These are what many African families raise their children to abhor; our leaders ought to wake up and not allow themselves to be used in this way. Furthermore, for a lot of people on the continent and outside, the indignities and deliberate uncertainty of fate to which African migrants are subjected in Israel should also be a major concern for our leaders when they think about Mr. Netanyahu’s request. That the prime minister so overtly treats the migrants as if they were subhuman, officially calling them “infiltrators”, and yet has the audacity to turn to the African leaders to profess his brotherly love for Africa shows the value with which he holds the African people, including the leaders whose intelligence he apparently takes for granted. “We have expelled about 20,000 (African migrants) and now the mission is to get the rest out,” Mr. Netanyahu declared with flagrant abandon. As Africans and supporters of Africa, on the continent and around the world, it is our responsibility to prevent this abuse of power, the abuse of the intelligence of Africans, and the abuse of Africa’s friendship and position in the world. Africa must represent what is right and just in the world. We are not Esau who sold his birthright for a meal. And neither are we the brothers of Joseph who sold him off into slavery. We must therefore resist the efforts of the Israeli prime minister to take advantage of Africa’s current condition of underdevelopment, the depressed situation that the many years of western exploitations have left us, to manipulate us into selling out another group of historically oppressed people. With our actions and integrity, we must take responsibility for changing the story of Africa and prevent the perpetuation of the negativity that all exploitations have been throwing at us. (Missing image found here... Click) • WHAT WE EXPECT FROM THE AFRICAN UNION At the upcoming 32ndOrdinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union and afterward, we expect that this petition will enjoin the African Heads of State to withhold from the Israeli government the sought-after “African Union Observer Status Seat”. And we ask that they should instead propose, as a condition for obtaining the status, that the Israeli government must stop all settlement projects on occupied Palestinian territory; secondly, commit to and partake in a peace process to resolve the conflict in favor of any arrangement that both sides would be able to accept, with all possible compromises made; and, thirdly, take the necessary steps to improve the immigration and social situations of the African migrants in Israel seeking asylum. (Missing image found here... Click) We are aware that, discouraged by the Trump administration’s decisions on Jerusalem, the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has already called on the African Union to join an “international multilateral mechanism under the umbrella of the United Nations” for a reliable peace process that would resolve the Israel-Palestine conflict. This is an opportunity for African leaders to begin to reverse the errant narratives about Africa and her people, and to assert the leadership qualities that we as Africans have always known. It should be instructive to see that China did not ask permission from any country to step onto the world stage to do what it believes, no matter how questionable they may be. Likewise, Africa does not need permission from any country to take “its rightful role… in international negotiations” as well as “in the global economy,” as the objectives of the African Union are laid down in Article 3 of the “Constitutive Act of the African Union”. • THE WORLD EXPECTS BETTER We call on all of you, Africans and supporters of Africa, from the continent and from all over the world, to add your voice and amplify this call by signing this petition and sharing it widely among your circles. Our voice must be heard! Also, it’s important to note that this petition, including its motivations and all possible actions that may be associated with it, is not a political action, at least not in the sense of the term as used in partisan political contexts. It’s neither of a right-left wings stance nor of an Arab-Jews, Israeli-Palestinian or a Muslim-Christian frame of reference. The decision and actions here and henceforth taken are rather motivated by a sense of general human-moral wellbeing, and they are guided by a strong belief in both idealist and pragmatist (realistic) principles. Politics around the world has been conducted as if the world was perpetually at war; every decision and step that many leaders take, in diplomatic guise, are in fact like acts of war on another government or people somewhere. But we believe that politics can become inclusive, respectful of everyone, and leaving no group of people behind or outside. Both the Israelis and the Palestinians can live peacefully in the region, and there’s absolutely no need for the moral exploitation of other people to survive and grow. In fact, there has never been any need for any group of people to exploit another group of people to survive in the world; what we see in history, and today, have only been expressions of an ignorance that characterizes the view of life and humanity held by groups that have exploited other groups, like the slaveholders, the colonialists, and the imperialists; it's a deficit in their existential understanding of life, brought about by their unexamined tribal mentality, and for which their greed and lust compensated. Africa deserves better. The world deserves better. SIGN AND SHARE. THANK YOU!

Police Brutality killed Sammy, We demand Justice because ALL Lives Matter....!
Samuel Seewald a 23 year old German national and EU citizen was brutally shot and killed by police in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. According to the police report Samuel was threatening himself and the police, but the video of the incident used by media outlets shows approximately 8 to 10 police officers surrounding Samuel, one with a police dog approaching him from behind and forcefully hitting in the head, knocking him to the ground. Samuel screams loudly, and the next thing you hear is shots fired, paw, paw, paw, contradicting the official police narrative. The video clearly shows excessive force and the unconscionable killing of a young man who was in Amsterdam to celebrate his birthday. The media frenzy forced people all over the world, including Europe to protest the incident of police brutality against George Floyd in America. Now the police brutality against Samuel Seewald needs to be investigated because it was was intentional violence, murder with a deadly weapon in broad daylight, by people who are supposed to protect the public. If Europeans protest against the police brutality in America, the police brutality in Amsterdam should not be tolerated. It cannot be justified or reasoned away. We demand justice for Sammy because ALL Lives Matter....!

31 BULLETS #Justice for Juston Root: NEED AN Independent Investigation #PoliceBrutality
Our son and brother, Juston Root was killed by 6 officers who shot 31 bullets as he lay on the ground, in a semi-comatose condition with nothing in his hands! He posed no threat to those around him. No one has been held accountable for his death. Please help us by signing this petition. Our family is still grieving, but that won’t stop us from fighting for justice for Juston – and to make sure no other family has to face this kind of tragedy. Will you help us? Add your name to tell lawmakers that there must be an independent investigation into his killing. On Feb. 7th, 2020, Juston was in a mental health crisis, on his way to his counselor at Mass Mental Health Center in Boston. Juston had an oversized clear plastic paintball gun in his waist. The Boston Police were called with a report of a person with a gun. When officers arrived, one of them used deadly force immediately, injuring Juston. Juston limped to his car, one of his legs was bleeding badly, he got in his car and drove away slowly. The Boston Police ensued a car chase, and minutes later Juston's car crashed, he staggered out, and dropped to the ground, covered in blood. A former EMT passerby ran to him to give him aid, because he was on the ground in a semi-conscious condition. Moments later, the Police arrived, yelling at the former EMT to get away from Juston. One officer kicked Juston, and then all six officers shot 31 bullets from close range, killing Juston instantly. He posed no conceivable threat to the officers or the public and had no weapon in his hands. The Norfolk DA exonerated these officers after just one month. Critical evidence and important witness statements were left out of the final report, including the former EMT who was there shortly before Juston was killed. The police have not released any footage of the actual shooting. The report says only one officer had a body camera on and filming, but their arm obstructed the lens when officers fired. The report is wholly inadequate and far from transparent. We, the Root family and the public, demand a timely, thorough, transparent independent investigation into Juston's killing by an impartial investigator with no ties to the police! We call upon Governor Charlie Baker and Attorney General Maura Healey to appoint an independent investigator immediately. Thank you for your support! Justice for Elijah McClain
August 24th, 2019, 23-year-old Elijah McClain was walking home after buying some tea at a local convenience store. According to Elijah's family, Elijah, who was anemic, preferred to wear a ski mask to keep his face warm while he was walking. The Aurora Police Department received a call of a "suspicious man". This call resulted in Elijah's death. After the McClain family requested the bodycam footage from the officers on scene it was reported that in the footage, "He is laying on the ground vomiting, he is begging, he is saying, 'I can't breathe.' One of the officers says, 'Don't move again. If you move again, I'm calling in a dog to bite you,'" -Mari Newman (the McClain's lawyer) When the paramedics arrived they administered a dose of Ketamine to the already unconscious Elijah to "sedate" him. He was pronounced dead August 27th, 2019, at only 23 years old of a heart attack. Denver 7 News stated, "...they couldn’t determine whether McClain's death was an accident, was due to natural causes, or is a homicide related to the police department's use of a carotid hold". The officers on the scene were placed on temporary leave, however, they are back in the field with no charges. Sign this petition to bring justice for Elijah. Demand that these officers are held accountable.
Petition to Killeen Texas Police Department, Bryan Washko,
JUSTICE IN KILLEEN- FIRE Reynaldo Contreras!
On the 13th of January, 2021 in Killeen, Texas, an UNARMED black man was shot and killed in front of his home. The Killeen Police Department sent out Officer Reynaldo Contreras for a WELLNESS check that he was clearly not properly trained for. Officer Contreras shot and killed a 52 year old man, who had his arms raised in the air, in his own yard. Just feet away from his own front door. How MANY POC will die before we care? How MANY will be unable to rely on and AFRAID of the police? This has gone on TOO LONG with NO CHANGE. WE DEMAND THAT OFFICER CONTRERAS BE FIRED FROM KDP AND CRIMINAL CHARGES FILED AGAINST HIM FOR MURDER. WE ALSO DEMAND THAT POLICE TRAINING BE EXTENDED FROM JUST SIX SHORT WEEKS, TO FOUR YEARS. THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME THAT LAWYERS REQUIRE TO PROFICIENTLY LEARN AND APPLY THE LAWS OF THE U S.
Petition to Denton City Council, Police Chief Frank Dixon, Mayor Gerard Hudspeth, Denton Police Department
Immediate Resignation - DPD Officer Douglas Downing Murdered Darius Tarver
January 21, 2020, UNT Criminal Justice Student Darius Tarver was brutalized and murdered on the sidewalk steps in the front of his apartment by a Denton Officer whose idenity has been hidden from the public for nearly a year. Following Darius' disgraceful murder, Denton City Officials, largely led by the former Mayor Chris Watts, and current head of DPD, Frank Dixon immediately conspired to facilitate a mass disinformation campaign meant to defame Darius’s legacy as a bright and aspiring student in order to reduce him to nothing less than a violent, unpredictable, and dangerous criminal. All this to protect the reputation of officers who operated outside of protocol and with egregious disregard for Darius’ life. To this day, Officer Douglas Downing who unlawfully fired his weapon multiple times and killed Darius is still employed by Denton PD. He was never placed on leave pending an investigation. As a non-Denton resident who inflicted serious harm on our community, Officer Downing has faced zero repercussions for his actions which led to an egregious and unnecessary loss of life in our community. Even worse, all this time, he has been protected, afforded more protection for a year than he could afford Darius in 15 minutes. While the Denton community was provided the names of four officers involved after the shooting, along with a combined portion of body cam footage, to this day, there has been no formal investigation conducted by the Denton County District Attorney’s Office, and there has yet to be a Grand Jury summoned to review the evidence. All the while, Officer Downing, the killer cop from Little Elm continues to travel to Denton daily to “protect and serve” our community. As we approach the one-year anniversary of Darius Tarver’s execution, we owe it to Darius' memory and his family to at least ensure a renewed conversation centered on the facts so as to put a spotlight on the threat these officers pose to our community. So let's review the facts as they were presented by the Denton Police Department one year ago via the body cam footage and see if the actions of this DPD Officer can still be defended as heroic. If you think that Darius Tarver's life was worth more than Officer Downing's impatience over an aluminum frying pan, then sign this petition and demand his resignation. Quick, before he kills someone else in our community.

Fire San Jose Police Officer Mike Pina - Killed Jacob Dominguez & Attacked Young Couple
In support of impacted community who have suffered police violence & murder, we demand that San Jose Police Department Officer Mike Pina be fired. The city of San Jose should change their protocol so officers like him are not rehired in our city or elsewhere. Please read the stories below of San Jose community members who’ve been directly impacted by Mike Pina’s reckless and violent behavior. Sign & share the petition below in support. #ProtectYourPeople #JusticeForJacobDominguez On September 15, 2017, SJPD Officer Mike Pina shot and killed 33 year old father of 3 young children, Jacob Dominguez. Jacob was unarmed, did not know who was following him, and was boxed in with nowhere to go. Despite another officer calling for a less lethal weapon (flash bang), Mike Pina shot and killed Jacob within 20 seconds of stopping him. Pina’s body camera was activated after the shooting. Shortly after this incident, SJPD promoted Pina to Sergeant. With Jacob gone, his entire family struggles with deep loss and disbelief. His mother grieves daily. They took her only son - her firstborn taken away from her in such a tragic and horrific way. Jacob’s kids lost their daddy. His wife, a full time nurse has to try and pick up the pieces to raise their babies without their rock. His sister is left trying to explain to her son that his Brodie isn’t coming back, that he’s with Jesus. Losing Jacob has had a huge impact on their entire family. The cops judged him for his past, but we will all continue to fight for his future. #JusticeForMarissa&Paea In May of 2019, couple Marissa Santa Cruz and Paea Tukuafu were celebrating Marissa’s 22nd birthday at a hotel in San Jose, CA. They received a noise complaint (loud music) from the hotel at 8:45PM, and the couple responded by turning it down. Even after doing so, FIVE San Jose Police officers showed up and escalated it into violent interaction using batons, tasers and rubber bullets on Marissa and Paea. The couple suffered major injuries that required a trip to the hospital and spent the night in jail - with no criminal charges filed on them. Sergeant Mike Pina was there that night directing the other officers in this violent attack - He asked if they were on parole, threatened them with jail, pulled Marissa to the ground face first, shot them with tasers, and instructed other officers to attack this young couple. #FireSJPDOfficerMikePina Mike Pina is a dangerous and reckless officer who should not be anywhere near our communities. The city of San Jose & SJPD are complicit with this pattern of behavior and must change their protocol to not allow officers like him to continue working in our city or anywhere else - NOT promote them to sergeant like they did with Pina. Please sign and share our petition and help us bring awareness to the victims of Mike Pina.
